I have a 1991 GT that is pretty much factory at this point. I am looking to replace the steering rack and brakes. I would like to find something that is best for autocross. I am going to replace the tie rods with the steering rack.

What's the best steering rack for autocrossing? I found this: Mustang - 85-93 Steering Rack Kit, 5.0, W/ Non-Offset Urethane Rack Bushings. by 50resto at LRS - Same Day Shipping!. I also found this: AGR Performance 732581 - AGR High Performance Rack and Pinions - Overview - SummitRacing.com/. Are here other, better options?

As far as brakes, I was thinking something like this: 79-93 Ford Racing Mustang Brake Kit, 93 Cobra R Style at LRS - Same Day Shipping!. I did put coilovers in the front, so the car is a little lower -- I might have to modify the quarters it looks like. Any other brake packages that I should look at?

Thanks!

Rich

I have the agr quick ratio rack, wouldn't have it any other way.
Just realize the steering becomes very quick and effortless, so much so that it will take you a few days to get used to it.

As far as brakes go, do a five lug conversion search, it's really been beat to death.
You will find the parts list to put that brake setup together for less than half of what that price is.
I forgot what my total was, but it was well under $1000 for all of that.

Wow, the M2300K kit sure has gone up. I peiced my kit together for about $1000. Took some time and research though. If you want everything to come in 1 kit though, the M2300K is the way to go...or the Baer "Cobra Killer" kit
