I hope someone can help me trouble shoot this problem, When I push the gas pedal on my car it seems to stick at the highest point of the pedal then when I push it hard to just give it a little gas it's like I am giving the car too much pedal, It also seems too touchy, would this have to do with the spring on my throttle cable, obstruction or a faulty cable, These are the only things I can think of but if someone has encountered and has a remedy that would be great. Thanks

I tried bringing my idle down by backing out the throttle screw and it would stick at the top of the peddal. I played with it till it didn't stick and I also set the idle the right way after reading how.

I'd check your throttle-blade. Chances are that it's closing enough to stick in the bore (been there and done that).

You can:

Readjust the throttle stop so the throttleblade is cracked open ever so slightly.

On some TB's you can adjust the throttlestop butterfly (to better center it). There would be a couple of tiny fasteners holding the plate to the throttle shaft that you loosen and adjust.

Some crafty folks have done a little Dremel work to clean the bore up so it doesn't stick anymore.

Option #1 is easiest if that works for you.

Good luck.

I think it's the throttle blade closing to far and touching the TB

I had the same problem. Adjusting the throttle stop screw helped a tiny bit. I eventually installed a new throttle cable and it went away completely. If I'd have known it was that easy I'd have done it ages ago.
