Sticky Gauge Needles

The Speedo and Tach needles on my 00 GT are "sticky". In the morning they dont work until I have driven the car for about 10 minutes and after that they are sticky, ill be braking from 40mph to a stop and ill see the needle jump from 40 to 20 then 0. Tach has the same issue. The other gauges all work fine just the speedo and tach.

I cant seem to find new gauge motors anywhere and I dont want to replace the whole dash. Is there a quick fix for this?

Try lifting the needles off the face of the gauges, my car was doing the same so I ordered some white face gauges and made sure there was a little space between the needle and the gauge and it should work.

My car did the same thing! Never found out the origin of the issue though

Check out the following on bad printed circuit foil traces. This could cause problems with cluster operation on 99-04 MY.
