I'll start by saying, yes, I'm looking into installing a short-throw shifter... The shift from 4th to 5th gear is becoming somewhat problematic.
Scenario #1: It feels like it catches halfway through the shift. I've tried slowing/speeding up my shift, pushing the clutch in farther/shorter... with about the same results. Really slowing down the shift, you can slightly feel the catch but it isn't as drastic.
Scenario #2: You'll get the same kind of sticky feeling, but there will be a crunching noise.
These two scenarios don't happen every single time, maybe about 50% of the time. Shifting from other gears is normal, and downshifting from 5th to another gear is normal as well. Would this more likely be an issue with something in the transmission or with the shifter?
