Okay I have BF Goodrich Comp T/A Drag radials and the right rear tire is almost shot, middle tread wear is complete on some sections of the tire. I recently had the track loc unit rebuit and launches definitely seemed firmer but I still have the one wheel peel. What else could the problem be? Thanks.

I was told that becuase of the horsepower I might need subframe connectors to help reduce or balance this problem.

Also, I should also mention the suspension is bone stock and 16 years old!

the bottom line is in a straight launch both tires should break traction. Not Just one. Some subframes and torque arm/panhard bar setup would really help with getting the power to the ground. (with the correct springs and shocks)

Here is a link to a thread I recently started where I was directed through a website that showed a better way to rebuild the traction lock, I'm going to try it soon.

a better way??

the stock way will work fine if whoever did it, did it right.
if you use the shims that were in it, it may be to loose, depending on if anyone had been in there for anything else (ring/pinion).
i built mine to 'stock' specs, meaning how i assembled the clutches to the steels (splined plates).

i also use a BFG drag radial, and anytime going straight, if i have a loss in traction, there is both tires spinning, everytime.

the stock 'traction lock' shuold last for a little while wouldn't you think? some people still have a decent one after 10 years and 100k miles.

probably some idiot rebuilt it, and did somthing wrong.
BESIDES--- you should'nt be spinnin' with BFG drag radials unless you're talking about being on the street, they should hook for ya.

unless you're talking bout when you burnout before you race?
