stock 06 mustang wheels fit on lincoln disk conversion?

alright i kinda like the way the 06 wheels look ( feel free to flame i dont care) and i was curious to see if anyone has test fitted them on the lincoln rotors. i can get all four wheels for like $50. let me know what you guys think, if they'll fit and if theyd look good.

They will fit, but the offset will look like trash. They are 2-3 inches shallow from the fender.

They fit nicely on the SVO cars with the Lincoln front and disc rears. If you are talking about putting them on the 89 Saleen, they will fit just fine since it has the SVO setup. MM&FF put some on a SVO in a recent issue, both styles, and they both looked good. But on a stock Fox width rear end, yes, they are too far in and look bad.

yeah im thinking about putting them on my saleen. would the offset still look bad? if not i kinda wanna pick up these rims while i can.

I took a pic of the article and close ups of the wheels. Looks like they had to remove the center cap on the fronts to fit the wheels on the SVO rotors. Hope this helps. sorry about the size, didn't get a chance to resize.
They did say the stock 06 tires are too tall, but for the price, I assume you are getting only the wheels. 245-45-17 or 255-40-17 would work.

it does, although it says that the rims i was looking at were 16x7. would that make a differance? i can still put 255's on those right?

Oh, they are v6 wheels. The I think that a 235 or 245 would be a better fit. I ran 235s on my old 7" wide wheels and they fit nicely. You could probably fit a 255, but they likely would not wear very evenly as they are really meant for a 8.5-9" wide rim.

so 245 would be the biggest? and i dont know if i want to try and get ahold of the v6 rims or try and get some of the 05 rims that look almost like bullets any suggestions?

Yeah, 245/45/16 is the widest many tire manufactures recommend for a "good" install, meaning it would last a good while. You can put a wider tire, like up to a 275 or so, since a lot of guys put slicks or drag radials on 10 holes or turbines that size and the 10 holes are 7" wide, but chances are you will not get good tire life out of them.

I do like the bullitt style wheels, but again, you have the center cap problem up front. MM&FF put a set of the bullitt style wheels on the same SVO and it looked pretty good.

hmm so how can i get around the center cap problem without having to swap to sn95 front brakes

Spacers would be the only other option, but they are generally not recommended. But it all depends on how much the center is recessed on the wheels. If they are pretty flush with the edge of the wheel, you might not need a spacer, or just maybe a 1/4" spacer. The pic of the 17" wheels above look like they would need a good 3/4" or even 1" spacer to make the front center caps fit.
