Good Evening Gentlemen,

I was wondering if I could get a questioned answered from the experts in the field to end a dispute on another website.

Background: I am a former 01 GT Owner and a current 06 Civic SI owner. On 8thcivic.com, we have a thread going (http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19608) where a mustang tuner claimed his "buddies" stock 99 Cobra could pull 12's stock in the quarter mile with slicks. Now I know I may have been out of the loop for about 6 months now, but as I recall those model year cobras pulled mid to high 13's even with slicks.

Question: I was wondering if I could get the realistic 99 Cobra 1/4 mile times.

P.S. I am Scrubber on the forums on 8th Civic, feel free to stop by and post on this thread. Thanks for your time.

what is stock?

Stock motor, yes, entirely.

showroom stock? no.

he could run 12's with the fix and gears, exhaust, and a filter.

tha average with jsut exhaust and a filter is 102-104 mph which is 12 sec capable with genius driving.

ET's are reliable on driver, but the mph will tell you the potential.

Sorry, I kinda botched the first thread. He was claiming his buddies Cobra could run 12 flat, not just 12's.

*EDIT* Actually, this guy is yankin our chain. He claims his buddies Cobra is bone stock, when it actually has a full drag chassis setup, 200lbs of weight saving measures, and all possible add ons. Well no DUH he pulls 12's flat.

Exactly. I took a look at the mod page and realized exactly what Bob had done. This guy clearly had problems getting his facts straight.
