Does anyone here have a Procharger setup with a stock 5.0 block?

Just wondering what the maximum boost can be used safely??

Can anyone suggest a maximum boost for my setup...

Stock 5.0 302 block,
Holley Systemax II Heads,
Lunatti Roller Cam
TRW Forged Pistons,
Eagle Rods,
Lightened/Balanced Crank
9.5.1 Compression

What do you think guys?

My buddy has an F-1A Procharger on his 306 which includes a forged rotating assembly and a stock block. I think he's around 14-15psi making 540rwhp through an auto. Car also runs 10.6 consistantly. I'm extremely surprised his block isnt a pile of rubble yet as his car still runs great.

I wouldn't go over 475rwhp personally (10-12psi on your combo) without an aftermarket block. It's been done but are you feeling lucky??

I don't have a procharger, but i've been running 14psi through my stock block for a few months. It's really all about the tune though. My a/f ratio is at a somewhat conservative 11.5 and I don't beat on my car everytime I drive it. My tranny is about to explode though.

Ive been offered a procharger kit off a 99 mustang.

Mine is a 93, so obviously the brakets and tubes will be wrong, but it comes with 10psi and 12psi pulleys for $1350.

What do you think?

Scott, your 5.0 looks real tough!! Mine is black too, and I have just got a 3" cowl hood!!

If i'm right. the 96 and up blowers are reverse rotation so the pulley sits towards the rear of the engine instead of the front of the car. So it's not going to work.

It would take way to much fabrication to get the blower to work on your car, custom brackets, tubing, etc...

Better off passing on it and getting a kit made for your car.

Anytime you are over 400RWHP on a stock production block you are taking your chances.

i run 9psi with 9.6:1 compression (403rwhp through and aod). plan to go to about 12psi in the next couple weeks. will also be running methanol/distilled water as a boost cooler....to cheap for an intercooler. and since i rarely go into the boost im not worried about the methanol kit or my motor showing excesive wear. just waiting for my damn methanol bottles to get here.
this forum is very conservative when it comes to max hp on the stock block. two other forums i belong to say 550rwhp on the stock block is the point where your pushing your luck. my dyno tuner made 650rwhp on a stock block through an aod. he was only able to get 8 passes out of it (all in the 9's) before he split it down the middle but the fact it held that much power for a short time shows it has potential

Since I showed an interest, the guy has put the price up!

I just wanted to check with you guys about what model blower it was!

Thanks ponyboy19, I think you've answered the question!

Here in the UK, you can count the amount of procharger cars on one hand, and with so many different models, I knew this was the right place to come!!

Thanks Guys!
