Stock clutch fan or electric?

Thanks I think ill do that cause thats exactly what my coupe is doing.

You will be wasting your time putting an electric fan on a stock one row radiator.
Your problem is probably a clogged and worn out radiator combined with lack of capacity.
Before even considering any other cooling mods, get yourself a mr gaskets 180 thermostat and a good size radiator.

It seems that a Google search provides the answer to my own question. According to Alternator - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, the efficiency of the typical automotive alternator is 50-62%. Using the worst case figure of 50%, that means our 420 watts out power takes 840 watts of power from the engine to create it. Since 746 watts = 1 HP, divide 840 by 746 and we get approximately 1 1/8 HP needed to drive the electric fan. Compare that 1 1/8 HP figure against the 4-8 HP figure and you do save a small amount of HP. The chief benefit is better engine cooling around town and reduction of drag at highway speeds.
