3.90 seems to work pretty well for me -- my gears are a 3.73, but the tire size is 225/50/16 - slightly shorter than a stock Stang-sized tire. That makes them work on my car just like a 3.90 would on a Stang.

jaakal - the limited slip (trak lok) feature of the rear end is present no matter what the gear ratio. If yours is spinning only one tire, then the LSD is 'tired'.

so then, yes and no. (yes, it came equipped with it; no, it is not operative).

as an aside, one can tell if he/she has an open diff by noting if the back tires spin the same direction or not (with the entire rear in the air).

The friction modifier allows the 'slip' to occur without chattering. With no friction modifier it'll make racket/chatter when on low speed turns -- but shouldn't affect the ability to split the power to both tires.

right on, as usual. as Michael has maybe played with in his younger days, runnin no modifier is common in autoX applications.
