Drivetrain Stock rear, 10" slicks and 450rwhp???

How long would this combo hold up? What kinda power are guys putting down with stock(3.73s) rear-ends with roughly 450rwhp and slicks and auto trans? Guess could run it till it goes then upgrade.

Found a thread with some of yalls rear set ups. Looks like a lot of stock 8.8s being used with built motors. Gonna send it till it breaks, then upgrade I do believe.

8.8 housings are fairly inexpensive, run the one you have and pickup another to beef up, you can get 31 spline carrier from a v8 explorer and grab some axles aftermarket with c clip eliminators, all the while beating the tar outta the one in the car.

Back in the late 90's buddy had a built notch,ran low 12's. Called me said he was driving up to race at Milan,MI. I clearly recall telling him he was on borrowed time with his stock rear. Well, he went...and guess what. Broke an axle. Nobody could get up there and help him out. The tow bill was insane........

Must be a Texas thing. My buddy out there has said that before. I thought he was drunk because it made no sense. I'll just keep reading.
