I did post this the other day, but the thread never took off. i am installing my GT40 heads today, does anyone see a problem with me using my stock stamped steal rockers and stock push rods from my E7's on the GT40s?

Could I re-use a metal header gasket or should I get new ones?

I am out of money for my car right now, or i'd use better rockers.

(thanks to the SC, Tweecer, injectors, MAF, Throttle Body, Heads, Etc...)

The stock rockers will work, although I can understand your money crunch, I wouldn't run the stockers. I haven't in years. Check the classifieds for some good deals on roller rockers.

The puchrods may or maynot work. Milled heads, etc. I was able to use the stock pushrods on my GT-40 heads, but had to shim the rockers

I have stock steel stamped Ford pedestal mounts on my iron GT40 heads in my 82, and they have worked fine for about four years. I have a .464 lift cam, so they are not stressed too much. I do have some stronger Comp springs on them. Runs to 6k easily.
