ok ive been building my combo i did not do the 331 but went with a 302 roller block.well i got all my stuff runing and i took it out (forgot to put the fmu on but after i retimed it i put it on)dog slow wheels wouldnt even break if i power braked it i was like wtf so i checked my timing it was at 15* base timing .i didnt hear any detination but i still thought 15* was to high with 14psi so i put it at 10* this made it alittle faster wheels now break but its like stock

question is do you think my stock fuel injectors are maxed out i have a fmu from paxton . i didnt get to install my 38lbh injectors because i have a 30lbh sample tube from c&l ...idles fine starts right up dosnt over heat and my rrs are timed right  im stumped

VICTOR 5.0 INTAKE,F3O3 CAM , EDELBROCK RPM HEADS 1.90 INTAKE 1.60 EX, ADJUSTABLE FUEL REGULATOR ,PAXTON SN SERIES WITH THE VR4 UPGRADE 14psi, C.A.T ROLLER TIP ROCKERS WITH 7/16 STUDS base timings at 10* and the stock injectors and maf are on with a fmu

thats whats on there now but i have a box full of stuff to go on

I would recommend getting these problems fixed before adding the other stuff to help pinpoint a potential problem...

The timing will need to be more than 10*, what is your fuel pressure at with the vacuum line off?, spark plug gap?, those stock injectors are just asking for trouble with h/c/i and a supercharger?...

it ran like crap at 15* base timing

fuel pressure im not shure i have no gauge spark plug gap is the stock gap out the box i was told to leave em there pre gapped
as for the box full of stuff thats why i didnt put it on yet one thing at a time

i thopught the timing was suppose to be lower for forced induction

I agree, 19# injectors must be really giving it all they got. BUT, anyone can do a burnout with a stock 5.0, so i would say its something with ur FMU or fuel pressure. Check ur FP because it should be at least 40 with a blower on there. And if its at like 50 then maybe its too high for the injectors. I dunno im talkin out my ass.

bigger injectors will help is ur throttle body side ways c&l have to be mounted with ur connection up and down make sure the fmu is still working

i have no clue what you mean my c&L isnt on there because its calibrated for 30lbh injectors and i have 38s my tb is up and down the way it was suppose to be

Yeah the timing is usually "down" compared to N/A cars...but I still believe it should be higher...but I don't know...

Anyways...the spark plug gap/MAF calibration/FP need to be figured out...or fixed...

With the power that car should make...the 19lbers simply aren't going to cut it...I wouldn't drive it hard until you get those problems fixed for risk of other problems...

Good Luck

With your adjustable fuel regulator your going to need a pressure guage...you need to know where that pressure is at...your going to have to bump HIGH to make those 19lbers even work somewhat safely...you need to get a MAF and injectors calibrated together to solve a few of your problems?

www.50resto.com sells them for $40 bucks and it is the one that goes on your schrader valve...I have one and it works just fine...

Find what your plug gap is at...make sure your running higher octane (93 atleast)...

Again Good Luck
