Streetracing "Crackdown" Vid

I'm not here to rag about how street racing is bad. I'm sure you guys know all about that. Last year some 22 year old was street racing localy and hit a mini van that was carrying 9 people and two grandparents from Mexico on their way to a graduation of a girl. The girl had no idea that her grandparents were over in the U.S. to surprise her at her graduation. Imagine how she must have felt when she found out what happend :nonono: Oh yeah, in that same accident a 7 year old boy, which I presumed was her little brother and their mother also died in that accident:( :notnice:

Street racing is one of those things that unfortunately, will never die, it seems to be a age thing, most grow out of it, what makes it worse now is that young people can now afford much faster cars that what was around when I was their age.

I disagree. Yea...its a lot of the younger/stupid/immature kids out there doing the stupid crap like racing in traffic and blah blah blah. A lot of the "gathering" and just "sitting around" are young kids. But the hardcore street racing still has PLENTY of the "older" crowd. Where the big bets go down, although young rich kids bet, i've seen plenty of guys in the older bracket out racing.

Out in San Diego i believe, they setup in the parking lot of one of the stadiums with a 1/8mi. track. I think thats great. I know here in Detroit, there are a few places they could convert. I think one of the bigger problems with street racing is in a lot of places, the drag strips are so far away and most peopple dont feel like driving.

All in all, like everyone said, its not going anywhere. Its something that comes a long naturally...its just a shame so many people are so stupid about it. :nonono:
