Hey Guys,

On Tuesday I've arranged to get brand new bumper to bumper vinyl stripes applied on my '06 stang so I had to take off the factory racing stripes. Long story short, after alot of research I decided to use "VinylOff". I literally just sprayed it on, let it sit for a minute then peeled it off. I didn't need to use the adhesive remover that I bought or the heat gun.

I don't mean for this post to be an advertisement for their product, I'm just saying it worked awesomely for me and certainly saved me alot of time. The whole process took me roughly 20 minutes. If you're looking for a vinyl stripe remover, this is it. Hope this is helpful for anyone needing to take their stripes off and don't want to pay the ridiculous labor fees.

Cheers,
Derek

good info, probably would have been just as good without the spray on stuff though. I pulled them off my wife's car, hair dryer, made sure they were warm, and peeled them off. No residue left at all hardly, a llittle wash, a little wax and you couldn't tell where they were.

That's what I was thinking, my side stripes peeled right off with no heat or anything and a little simple green cleaned it right up. No glue left just a little build up where the edges were. I just put on my deck stripes so It will be several years before I take them off anyway.
