stroker and emissions

Bill (Mustang92) gained about 22RWHP with VT's stage one cams. Keep in mind he does have longtubes and a Bullitt intake.

I'm looking at replacing the shortblock in my 2000 GT with a 5.0 stroker shortblock. Does anyone out there have any knowledge of whether my car'll pass CA emissions as a stroker? What if i port the heads?

thanks!

They have no way of knowing what your displacement or compression are, but you will need to make sure all of your smog equipment is functioning, and keep the air-fuel ratio @ 14.7:1 and you should pass. Every fuel injected car I had when I lived in San Diego put out no more than 10% what was allowed so I don't see why you would have a problem with a stroker... :nice:
