I'm replacing the strut rod bushing and I'm wondering if there are any specifics with respect to the two large nuts that compress the bushing. There was nothing about it int he shop manual I have, and I'm not sure if I just wrench one nut down tight or try and do it to both.

EDIT: BTW, I did go with rubber over poly to avoid strut failure.

They're going to need to be adjusted again when you get your alignment, the strut rods change the caster so when you removed the old you lost your correct caster setting. When I did mine I just snugged up the rear nut so that the bushing was just being compressed, then did the same to the front one. You won't get them right w/o an alignment. I'd drive straight to the alignment shop or you could ruin your tires w/in 100mi. of driving with bad settings.

For a good explaination of alignments get this months (Feb. 2010) Modified Mustangs & Fords, it's all classic now and there's a good article explaining it in there.
