I am in the market for a strut tower brace for my 88 GT. Only problem being that not only have a Trick Flow U/L intake, but also have a 1" spacer and a Supercharger inlet pipe. This brings up some clearance issues near the passenger side strut tower..... Is anyone running similar setup WITH a strut tower brace?

If so what brand and was it worth it?

THANKS GUYS

The MM is supposed to clear all if possible. I just wish I could get mine to bolt up. Steeda says my car is screwed but so far it fits the same on 2 different Fox chassis....I think they screwed up.

I'm thinking the 1" SPACER w/ a Trick Flow could be a problem with any STB , but the MM STB is probably your best bet.
And if it were me and I'd call or email MM and ask that exact ?

Im not all about brand names- I give the independent fabs a chance too.... any opinions on this STB? (SEE LINK BELOW)
They claim this and claim that- but its theory of design works out with my setup... maybe its worth a try. Any brace is better then no brace..it couldnt hurt for the $85 tag Give me your .02

My next strut tower brace will be the Maximum Motorsports STB...it clears all the aftermarket intakes...

It mounts in two places along the firewall to help spread out the suspensioned load...and it looks right at home under the hood

I've had a MAC STB and I can tell you that the MAC would never clear a 1" spacer w/ a Trick Flow U/L intake.
I don't think it's about brand name, I think it's about fitment is the issue here. But that's just my $.02

Fits under my stock hood. Only rubs a little bit on the liner, maybe an inch at the apex of the main bar.

Regardless, if you have the patience and time, fab one up yourself. I just got a few feet of 1" DOM tubing and some 3/4" DOM tubing from the local fab shop for about $20, bent up some 1" x .125" flat stock for mounts and put it all together in a couple hours. No drama and it fit my combo (twin turbo 351 carbed capri)

Central NH and I hit the drags when I can but it's about 1 hour away so I don't get down as much as I would like to.......our best bet is the Maximum Motorsports for clearence. The guy that has the E-bay link makes a spin off of the MM one as well. The Pro 5.0 shop you say.......I don't think the quality for the $$$$ was up to par. I went there once to talk and I wasn't impressed and most I know that had work done there didn't go back. They had a big thread about them closing....One guy was decent and the other a dick from what I read.

The MM brace doesn't go over the intake like the rest of them. That is why it will work with aftermarket intakes.

I understand the concept of design. The only thing I am worried about is my SC Discharge tube hitting the cross bar with the angle changed due to my 1" Spacer. If no one has this setup, the only way im going to find out is to buy it and try it. :damnit:

Does anybody know if the MM STB will clear a 351? I'm in the process of building one up with a trickflow intake, and I already have the strut tower brace from before. I really hope it fits up. I love that thing.
