Stud/Pedestal Mount?

I have GT40/Y303 Ported Aluminum Heads...

I also have Crane 1.6 -7/16 Stud Mount Full Roller Rockers...

I did some searching and determined these heads are pedestal mount heads, Can anyone confirm this is true?
I tryed one of the studs in the head and the 7/16 fit. (little tight)

Can stud mount rockers be used in this application or do i need to buy pedestal mount rockers?

Advantages/Disadvantages of Stud Mount & Pedestal Mount?

In my opinion pedestal mount sucks, much weaker, they flex at higher rpms, etc. and u have to mess with all those shims, stud mount is stronger, and waayy easier to adjust the rockers on. u can have pedestal heads drilled for stud mounts BTW

The main reason to go with stud mount rockers is to use a mechanical lifter cam. Stud rockers can easily be adjusted to set the rocker gap clearance.

Pedestal mount rockers would be very difficult to adjust, if they could be adjusted at all with a mechanical lifter cam.

Well, I found out my heads are "stud mounted rocker ready"

Now, If i buy new stud mounted rockers can i get a set of 3/8"?
Doesnt the stud end on the head side stay the same size but the actual part that goes through the rocker arm changes in size, making changing from 7/16 to 3/8 easier?

BTW, do i have a mechanical lifter cam??
(89' 5.0 HO)
I thought it was a hydrolic roller cam in my motor?
do i have hydrolic lifters or mechanical?

the number 3/8" refers to the size of the bolt. If you are unsure of the bolt size that you need go to HomeDepot and purchase a 3/8" bolt and a 7/16" bolt to see which one fits.

The 3/8" is slightly weaker than the 7/16", but will do fine for a street driven application.

Your motor (if stock) has a roller cam and roller lifters.
