I went to the track last night and on my very first run about halfway down the track it started getting sidways at the top of the track an I looked in the mirror an it was pooring out smoke. I got it back to the pits an popped the hood with it pouring out smoke an coolant was everywhere, apparently it popped a heater hose off the back of the intake manifold with a piece of the intake still attached. Has anybody else had that happen, what would make it do that?

Ahaa- that sucks but thats stupid funny. I was at the track last night and the GTO i was racing went sideways in fourth gear, and bout' near hit the wall- i saw him get shaky then i slowed down as fast as i could, he got in my lane, hanged a 180, then a 90 back into his lane and another 180 as he stopped in the middle of the lanes. I was like WTfff- i think he was running to low a tire pressure on slicks and when the speed caught up with him he lost traction.

Anywayzz- it's time for some JB weld hehe.
I think i have heard of a heater hose coming off with the nipple attatched on plastic manifolds before.

Yeah looks like it's gona be a couple days before I can get it running again, aparently nobody in town stocks intake manifold gaskets an it's gona take like 4 days to get them. My buddy has an extra PI intake sitting at his house off of an 03 cop car, so we are gona slap that on there so I can get off fairly cheap with just some gaskets!

I didnt have that problem, but I did blow a hole in the very back from a nitrous backfire. Sounded like a grenade went off at the end of track. Still run a 8 flat in 1/8 mile.

I had a hard time getting those too for some reason. I ended up finding a local shop that specialized mainly in gaskets, but it took me a half day of searching everyone in the area.

Ok so I got my gaskets in from O'riely yesterday and put the new intake on after work. We got everything put together an started it up, now it's got a slight miss. I double checked all the coil and injector connections an they were all tight so I don't know what it is. I think I either have a dead coil or some coolant still down in the spark plug or something? Anyways it was late so I will just pull it in at work today an check it out.
