stupid question about fiberglas hood

I have a 2-1/2 cowl Harwood hood. The guy who painted it said it was the nicest hood from a manufacturer he has ever seen. ( Shop ONLY does custom paint work and restoration) He put maybe 2 hrs into prep he said. Hood is now 10 years old and still looks great. See @ www.cardomain.com search Fyrfyter303

FYI. You'll need to ck your local laws before adding a 4" cowl. Some states like NJ will fail you at inspection due to visibility issues.

I like how the cage is done in your car.:nice:

Harwood is the best www.eharwood.com/

Cervinis is almost as good www.cervinis.com/Default.aspx

Champion hoods are OK but half the price www.championfiberglassproducts.com

I think what hood to use depends on the car. If you have a showcar or a real nice daily driver go with Harwood, If you got a Drag car or a street car / drag car I would go with Champion. I have bought a few fox body cars for under $2000.00. Why would you put a $600.00 hood on it?

I have a Harwood 2.5", thats as tall as VA will allow on the street without getting ticket after ticket. I love it, great fit, no gaps and didn't take long to prep and paint. Also like previously mentioned much lighter than Cervini.
