sub frame connectors

i am planning on buying some steeda sub frame connectors and i was just wondering how difficult the install is if i dont take it to a shop to get worked on. and do they help a lot w/ traction and handling on the roads?

You need to get them welded in, or atleast you should. It should only cost between 50-100 to get them installed. I dont know how much they will help out with traction, but they do help out with handling. If your looking for better traction then get some lca's and dr's.

they will reduce body flex which will help in your handling and launching. they are definitely worth the money; IMO every mustang should have them.

yeah i was also looking at some lca's...how much is it for install on them? and are the installs for the two difficult? on partshopper it has some steeda sub frame connectors for like 75 bucks and 180 for some lca's which doesnt seem bad at all. i just got my stang and was just worried about how it will handle in the rain/snow. i was hoping that installing these two mods would help my car out a lot in those conditions, but will they?

You can get the ones that bolt onto the two seat bolts and then carry it to an exhaust shop and they can weld it all up for cheap.

Neither of those things will make your car handle in sloppy weather. If you want good wet handling, get tires for the wet, or skinnies.

so are nitto's the best tires to get? do they have a good balance for performance, then traction in sloppy weather?

I have MM subframe as well.. got them welded in for $70 ($35 each side) Very noticable for my vert

I got the steedas and i love em...chasis flex improved soooo much. as for traction, and handling i cant say cuz i also had it dropped and new shocks at the same time. its hard to tell how much is the subframes and how much is the suspension. They say you can bolt them on which is easy, but they work a lot better if you weld them in, which i think you should. A mom and pop shop will charge you like 50 to weld them for you.

I need to invest in some subframe connectors soon. They will be soon purchased and hopefully improve the handling of the car. From what I hear, and everyone agrees, you should get the full length, weld ins. Ive also heard that the kenny brown stuff isnt that great, but dont have any personal experience.
