well. my cars pretty modified. and its had a warped flywheel for a while. the chattering is getting pretty annoying. it has a zoom clutch.. so i was told from the previous owner that mentioned the flywheel.

so anyways i figure i might as well get a fresh, better clutch when i fix the flywheel. and throwout bearing. and adjustable clutch quadrant cable. anything else im missing that i should get?

anyways.
im either going to buy a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch w/ one of thier steel flywheels.

or a Spec Stage 3 clutch. since it lists it as their 'ULTIMATE STREET/STRIP CLUTCH!' and one of their steel flywheels.

any feedback on the clutches would be great. this will be a daily driver. so it must be streetable.

here is my combo so far. with more power and parts soon to come. probably nitrous too.

edit:
also, is that $70~80 'lightweight' option for spec clutches worth it? really drop off that much weight?

Well I don't know if I can answer your question but I think that Spec III might be a little to much...I would go to a Spec II...

I know my friend has a Centerforce DF and is softer than my stock clutch pedal feel  ...I think I need a new cable...

Both are good solid clutches that grab :nice:

How about the SPEC stg 2/3 hybrid. It uses the stage 3 pressure plate, but has a multi-compound disc. One side is the stage 3 6-puck design, while the other side has a stage 2 kevlar surface.
It has the same ultimate holding power of the stage 3 SPEC, but won't jar the driveline as bad. I run this clutch with my GForce. Seems to work great.
I didn't see any mention of what tranny you have. If it is the stock T-5, the stage 3 may just just a hair too, much.

I ran a Center Force DF it had a vibration from the get go and it didnt hold up behind my blown motor. Im now running a Spec stage3 this clutch grabs like mad, but i gotta admit it gets a little agravating in to drive in heavy traffic, very touchy and kinda on/off
