Here lately I have been debating If I should go ahead and start modding my 02 GT or sell it and buy a stang already modded.

The list of mods I have planned on the 02:

Stainless Magnaflow Magnapack Catback
BBK Long Tube Ceramic Coated Headers
BBK X pipe
FFRPP 3.73 gers
Raptor Shift Light-
Accufab 75mm tb & Plenum
Procharger D-1sc kit with 3 core sheetmetal cooler-
Aviator Fuel Pump-
60lbs injectors-
Electric Fuel Pressure Gauge-Autometer C2
Electric Boost Gauge-Autometer C2
Digital Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge-Autometer C2

Cost of car= $13,250
Cost of mods above= $10,000
Total Invested for a 400rwhp car= $23,250

or should I scrap that idea and buy this:

I am looking for better performance. Would I be better off selling and buying the 93 or modding the 02? What kind of hp and times does a supercharged 93 put down?

Looks like you have done your research and made a good plan and know what you are getting into.

$23k is close to what an 03/04 Cobra would cost...

Your link is not working right now...

I think if your car is paid off go ahead and mod it or trade it for a Cobra. If you are upside down on it keep is stock and keep paying the note down. In any case do not "buy a Stang already modded" unless you are REALLY sure the work was done professionally.

IMO, it comes down to which you like more. I'd say the numbers will be pretty close, depending upon the setup of the Fox.

I'm the type of person who wants to do all the work myself, not buy it already done. If you want to take the work on and know that you made your car fast, then I say the '02. If you go w/ the Fox, definitely have it checked over by a respected shop, just to make sure you're not picking up someone elses problem.

if you already own the car I would consder modifing the GT you have.

IF you buy used be carefull that being said there is always someone who has a nice car and just needs money.

The 03/04 cobra or mach 1 are a better finacial choice due to resale if you you ever want to sell. In my case though the insurance on a cobra is not cheap as my driving record sucks.

If the insurance is not an issure buy the cobra. T-56, forged internals, IRS (even if you don't want it someone would probably swap you for a built live axle)

In my case I will keep my car as I own it and issurance sucks on a cobra so I would mod. viper t-56 $3500, kb 2.2L 5k, shortblock $3500, build rear $1500 so for 13.5 I would have a superior car to the cobra and cheaper insurance. the resale would suck though.

IMO you are going at your mods wrong though. vt shortblock $2500, kb 1.7L 5k, add 2k for exhaust, maf, tb, etc. ~500hp for $9500.
