I'm going to be taking my winter tires off and buy some new summer tires. I was thinking 255,45,17 on all four or 245,45,17 on the front and 275,40,17 out back. The nice thing is with the 255s I will get some more ground clearance.

I never heard of anyone running 255/55's.
That would surely make your speedometer read slow.

I run 255/45s. I like the added sidewall and curb protection.

I'm in the process of looking into some Wide Ovals.... Run them on my coupe and they hook like all get out. If they can plant four and a quarter horse to the road, they will work just find on my GT.

Blizzak's baby. A serious driver only uses appropriate rubber for his given conditions and not an all-around tire.

Wide Ovals for 3 seasons, Blizzaks for one. Blizzaks made 3" of rutted snow on the road look like a joke.
