Sunroof(Does it hurt the structural integrity?)

I'm looking at coupes and I found a 92 that I really like. The only thing is that I want to put all the MM suspension I had on my last car and don't know if the sunroof makes the body weak. Do you think it will twist and show signs on the roof pillars?

no, the sunroof isnt in a spot that will affect structural integrity as the roof rails, doors, and winshild pillars is what is going to tie the car together while it's flexing.

I have seen a sunroof fly out onto the track shortly after a drag launch when I was watching Pinks or something once. But I still dont think the sunroof has anything to do at all with the structural integrity of the car, that area will flex regardless of it having a sunroof or with the super thin sheet metal that the hardtops have.

I looked at the 92 coupe today it had the usual issues with a foxbody the moldings on the quarter windows were rough it had some paint cracking etc. The guy is asking 5900 but, he said the price is negotiable. I might try to get it for 4000.00 just because it needs some work. The sunroof on the car is aftermarket and I kinda want to get it welding over would that be a huge task?
