Super stuck oil filter! WTF! I've now crushed the end down 2 wrench sizes.

If nothing else, post pics of the current state of your oil filter. Even with an A/C compressor and everything OEM still in place above, there's plenty of room to even reach the thing from above and grab it with both hands.

Ye Olde Screwdryver Method has saved my arse a time or two. Just be sure to use a big, fat, flathead screwdriver and not a skinny little phillips-head, as it'll be a little less apt to just tear the filter apart. Stab that sucker in through the upper-front side all the way through, then push DOWN (turning it counter-clockwise). Get above it and bop it a few times with a rubber mallet or deadblow hammer, if you need a little extra oomph.

Crowbar... I've had that happen. I stuck a screwdriver through and when that didn't work I hammered a crowbar through it... That worked haha

I almost beat one of my hydraulic jack handles through the filter last night....maybe I should have kept going!

Check out K&N filters next time. They have a hex on the end you can use a wrench on.

I attach the wrench and pull it into place and lose 40 degrees of movement. Then the filter crushes so the handle is now folded over the filter, eating 90 degrees and a lot of leverage possibility. Then it's an oily filter too so the wrench slides over the remaining 20 degrees.

I have used a similar type wrench for over 40 years and I have never had a filter I could not get off.

See? This is what happens when I forget to grease a part of the car!

By the way, the grease is still looking "good" almost a year later. Hasnt washed off and not a spot of rust anywhere underneath

Bashed, torched, crowbarred and a jack handle beaten through the middle.

I smacked it with a mallet on the end. Then I burned around the outside with a torch. Then I bent the ends back with a mini crowbar. Finally, I took the aforementioned hydraulic jack handle, held it up to the side and proceeded to deadblow mallet it until it was sticking halfway through. I had to stomp the end with my foot but it finally started moving.

This was one determined filter!

You should have changed the filter when you changed your oil the first time!!! SEcondly, you should have changed it when the motor was at operating temperature, because it would have come right off. Third, get big Channel Locks and it will come right off.
