Superchagrer?????

I just wanted to hear some input on what you guys think.... with what I have done to my car now(mods below) would it be better to go with a roots style like kenne bell or centrifugal like vortech/procharger. I wanna have the most bang for my buck to add to my heads and cam. I know I will have to upgrade my fuel system prolly with anything. Thanks!!

Well if you want the most power down low go roots. If you want more power up top go centifugal. I would go with a centrifugal. The roots are built more for the low end to make up for some of the torque that the 4.6's lost down there.

KB's are expensive especially when you add an intercooler. If you want the best bang for your buck then Id say that you should go w/ vortech. You can get as much if not more power out of the right vortech then you can out of a KB and w/ spending alot less money. All depneds on what you want to, a Paxton or Vortech wont build boost until 2,500-3,000 RPMs but kick in alot in the higher RPM's where as a KB has instant full boost by 1,500 RPM's. Just a word of advise the #'s that KB advertises I belive are kinda high, I have 2 friends that had or do have KB's on there car ( 01 GT & 01 Cobra) and neither one of them have hit the advertised #'s on the dyno that KB has advertised.

I have no probs w/ Centri blowers, IMO they look alot more sexy under the hood then a KB unit does. I like my paxton alot, very strong well built unit and looks really nice. My kit cost me $3,342 including shipping and a polished unit ( $150 more) I dont have any accurate dyno #'s with it yet but once I get it running right in the spring then I should be seeing some pretty decent #'s

I would go with a centrifigal blower. you make more power in the end with them. you do have to wait for them to build boost. Personally, i love my vortech, but if i ever change, i'm getting a procharger. an intercooler comes standard with a procharger where as with a vortech, they don't exist. the only cooler you can get for a vortech/paxton/powerdyne is a methonal injection kit or nitrous, but that defeats the purpose doesn't it. and being that with cooler air, gives you more boost, more boost gives more hp, you do the math...

my vote = procharger.

So would you say that procharger is prolly the best way to go because of the intercooler factor?? and how much do they go for (I would prolly spend the extra $ to get it polished) also where is the best place to purchase a procharger? or a vortech? Thanks for the help! and would my stock 24lb injectors need to be replaced?
