The majority of people running one or the other are going to have Vortechs on this board. Partly due to the Steeda/Mongoose kits. If I remember correctly, at the time I bought my blower the P1SC was getting some bad press for blowing seals. Steeda refused to market them with thier kit because of dependability issues. Now that would be a critical issue, so I'm sure they would have a redesign out by now, but as I already have a blower, I never cared to research the matter further. I have yet to have a problem related to my blowers head unit or oiling system.

From every thing I've heard I'm either going with the Cobra Killer Vortech set up or a KB.

From everything on this forum Cobra Killer kits have some awesome numbers and you can't beat the service

Either one would do fine.

I didn't get the Procharger because I had heard all the horror stories about the seals. Supposedly they have fixed that issue. In the end I decided that numbers speak for themselves. Tons of people are running Vortechs and problems are almost unheard of. That is why I chose them.

The procharger will give you more torque and comes with an intercooler.

You won't have to worry about your seals leaking with the vortech

I went with the procharger a couple years ago and have had no problems out of it at all...99GT with the P1SC dyno'd 410 rwhp.

Considering you had a Procharger and now you got a vortech...why not share your opinion?

If I was still running the stock bottom end, I would be going with the Mongoose kit put out by T&J. The tune is fantastic and you decide between the Vortech or Novi 2000. There are countless cars on here running this tune with very good succes stories. You will also not beat the service that T&J provide.
As for the P1-SC, they did fix the issues with the seal. From latest reports I've read anyway.
I will be going with a ProCharger, but not the P1. Now that I have a forged setup, I'll be going with a D-1SC.

Ok I think we all take the hint there mister.
Well I better not have any issues from the D-1SC or perhaps I should be thinking of going to the non self contained model.
Damn, every time I make a "final" decision on a supercharger, I am forced to second guess myself.

Don't second guess yourself. You'll be happy with the D1.

I went with the Vortech kit from T&J. I've got a different setup than the Mongoose/Steeda kit. I'm running 42# injectors and a 90 mm MAF. Tim can hook you up.

How about a Novi 2000 Mongoose kit?

The D1 or V2-SQ are both great blowers. I don't trust the P1s...just too many horror stories.

The V2-SQ will be quiet. The D1, well...won't.

I'll be putting a p1sc procharger stage 2 w/3core intercooler on mine (sometime in 2004)...I know this isn't a popular choice on this forum but after a lot of research I feel confidant this set up will work just fine with my car...

I love my procharger, and wouldn't trade it for anything else! Can't beat the self contained oiling and the intercooler.
