Hey guys, I'm already planning to spend my tax return money. I'm pretty sure I want to get a supercharger next. Probably a low boost one, since I still want to be able to drive on the street and I'll see little track time. I am putting in my edelbrock heads, cam, roller rockers, headers, and pushrods next week. I was wondering what I'll have to change when I go with the supercharger. I'm thinking maybe around 6 lbs of boost. I know I'll need a different MAF, injectors, maybe a fuel pump(or is a 190lph ok?), some type of tuner, probably different gears,....is that ok? I had Ed Curtis grind me a custom cam. Can I still use it? What are your suggestions on a good supercharger to go with and what will I need? Thanks for any answers.
Oh, and keep in mind, I am not looking for the absolute best combo in the world. I would like close to 375-400 rwhp if possible with my combo, but don't want to change the heads again. Will my block be ok? It was bought maybe a few years ago from Central Coast Mustang. It's still a 302.

that's what I did last year. Ever look at a Kenne Bell...awesome on the street, sounds like it may be what you're looking for. I don't know a bunch about cams, but that may be a questionable situation. Either way, have fun and good luck. I'm dong the heads and cam this year after I get back form the desert.

I'll probably almost never see the track and want to be able to drive it comfortably on the street. I know 6 lbs isn't a whole lot, but as I said in my post, I'm not looking for a whole lot. If my main goal with this car was a drag car, I would be asking for the best of the best, and would not be considering using my same block and heads.

Depending on the condition of the block at the time of the h/c/i, the stock block is good to around 500 hp give or take. Only the cam grinder can advise if the cam is suitable for the s/c. I've only heard good things about vortech s/c's, but you'll definately want an 8lb kit. My brother had a 5lb Paxton rebuit to 8lb specs. What a difference. IMO a 255lph pump is the way to go. Are you installing the s/c? If not a reputable shop can give you advise on tune, MAF, injectors etc.
