I'm considering adding power to my '00 GT convertible. Supercharger (Vortec, ProCharger?) vs Hellion Turbo: Any advice? Anyone done either? Currently dynos at 273rwhp. What can I expect? Anyone have any experience with JMS or MRT? I'll take all the advice I can get. Thanks!

Really it depends on what you want. Fast street car, good track car, something cheap. You should also consider nitrous.

Supercharger is a whole lot more beginner friendly, cheaper buy, easier to install. Turbos will get you more power and will more than likely be more fun.

Turbo FTMFW. With turbo only at 8.22 psi I made 423.12rwhp and 454.34torque, at the same kind of psi people making 370+rwhp with supercharger . To hit 400rwhp supercharger guys pushing 10-13psi

Here is my dyno at 8.22psi. Now my exhaust leaks fixed it show 8.5-9 psi so my hp is close to 430rwhp or more.

Turbos are more efficient than superchargers and provide more power per pound of boost compared to blowers. BUT, turbo's are much more expensive and much more difficult to install.

A self-contained ATI Procharger w/ intercooler is just what you need.

Go with a PD Blower, you cant expect too much more than maybe 380 from stock internals

380rwhp?

380rwhp i a joke these days. a joke!!!

even a poorly designed turbo will eclipse that outside of its best efficiency zone.

look man, buy your parts, dont skimp on the turbo sizing, and get the biggest intercooler. either a vertical flow or a 4" core horizontal flow CX racing intercooler.

and ebay BOV < 30mm, and wastgegate < 40mm will work fine.

3500 is a good price range to shoot for. get sound advice from a pro on the turbo sizing if you arent savvy.

nobody forget hotmustang made 550rwhp from his TT.

8 pounds is very safe. last forever. tuned professionally on a dyno.

a turbo system that is just decent can reach 475. 500 is a good stopping point

and ur termi with a turbo can run right to the internals limits with a 4294 or equivilent.

you dont even need ported heads. throw 20 psi at it.

Yeah, hotmustang made 550 - I think one pull. I don't remember him driving it like that. Plus, he had like twin 62's to make that much power at lower (safer) boost levels - not too many people are going to want to run twin 62's.

What size turbo ? I got Master power T70 and it screams at only 8.5-9 psi . Can't wait to see how it does at 15-20 psi when I get forged block next year.

400+rwhp from nitrous, turbo, centri, and PD are not all the same thing
