Supercharger? Which one with an intercooler?

Was wondering which on comes with an intercooler that I can run on it.

I also have to Fox TB conversion so i need the old sytle pipes.

Or I want to do a turbo setup. Have 10k in the bank now and I have been putting off building up the stang.

wanting to buy a turbo kit that I could put on myself. If that has and intercooler I'll take that too.

I don't THINK there are any intercoolers for superchargers for the 94/95 stangs out. But I am probably wrong. All I know is I have only ever seen one, and that was on a Procharged Cobra that the guy had custom routed everything himself. bump
 
I called alot of places while i was at work today and only found out that you you have to customer fab the stuf yourself to get it to work.

I would rather go with a turbo kit over a supercharger..

Just want to use my prochamber still.. i love the sound... i dont want to use a single exhaust pipe.
 
I might have to get the procharger then...

1. Should I just add it to my current setup?
2. Do the Trickflow engine kit?
3. Or Both?

If i go with the blower only it wont matter if i blow up the motor because then i can build a new on and have the blower ready to re-install.

98k miles she runs strong, with no problems.
 
i've got a 70 MM TB now... and the fox conversion...

going to need some different tubing the get the pipes from the intercooler up back to the tb.

What maf would i need to get? or does it come with one?
 
I agree, bolt on teh blower, push it till she goes then build the engine these cars should have had stock... and rebolt the blower onto it...

That will be sure to bring smiles for a long time...

You have a pro-m 75mm mass air already?? If so, you should be fine. It will need to be recaled for the new 42's.
 
you dont really need to run an intercooler w/ an S/C ( Centri ) unless your running high boost #'s. If you dont plan on running more then 10-12#'s then you wont need one really. Theres lots of 5.0 Mustangs running around out there w/ Vortech's / Paxtons w/ no intercoolers. Including mine.
 
why would you want to run hot air into the engine without a intercooler?all the turbo cars that are running fast run with a i/c.with an i/c you dont need to retard the timing or anything like that,like you do for non intercooled s/c's.also you might want to check on,i think they're called hell fire turbos and see if they would work on your car if you're runnin the tb 93 style.if you really want to run a turbo.i'll check and make sure thats the correct name of the company.if not i'll let you know

get the procharger for your intercooled needs

get some trick flow heads, but not the kit. have the exhaust worked if you want.

I would even leave your stock cam believe it or not. less headaches with your auto and will be more sleeper.

I woudl however retard the cam 4 degrees when you do the heads i would run a holley systemax , but thast me. so at least have your street heat ported.

get 1.7 rockers if you are running stock cam.

i would want a 3000+ stall with the blower. if you go cam go 3500

but turbos are intercooled b/c they take the air from the exhaust

no they dont

the hot side and cold side are self contained

its like 2 blowers with the pulliey shaft attatched.

the hot side, exhaust side, works like a blower in reverse. air comes in from teh expansing exhaust heat energy and air flow and spins the wheel then comes out the center and goes to the Down pipe. The turbine spins a shaft which can be standard or ride on ball bearings... which reduces friction and allows quicker spool. this shaft goes ito the cold side, the compressor side and it spins the turbine that compresses the air into the motor. same as a vortech does... its just the rpm isnt linear with rpm like a centrifigul blower

you might ask you self... what keeps the turbo form always making boost while driving around. there is always exhaust flowing through it right?
The wastegate allows the unused exhaust gasses to either escape to the atmosphere or the down pipe or wherever depending on your setup. external wastegates sound like fighter jets. the boost controller attatches to the wastegate and controls the amount of exhaust gases can go through the turbo in order to "control" boost

turbos do make extra heat because you have the hot side touching the cold side. the glow under load they get so hot. that is gonna make some heat :)
 
Any air compressed beyond atmospheric pressure is heated in relation to the temperature before compression.

Most of the intake air change temperature increase on a turbo car comes from Charles' Law (-edit: and Boyles law) , not because the turbine is physically connected to the compressor.

Under load, touch a Vortech head unit, and a turbo compressor unit and tell me if there is a significant difference in temp between the 2. ;)

Superchargers and Turbos are way diffrent. The turbo runs off the exhaust gases so of corse it needs to be intercooled. Compare the heat of my S/C to the heat of my friends turbo and mine is always lower and I dont even have an IC. The piping and turbo itself gets really hott. SC do get hott but not that hott.
