I have a 96 GT auto, and just did the performance tune and went back and set the shifts to full hard. I was actually very impressed. The car pulled much better from 3500-5500 RPM, and spun tires hard off the line, and goes a little sideways into second even. Only other mods are bassani cat back and 410 gears. Yeh the gears helped alot, but still the car spinns out more with the tuner and at WOT.

Excellent! I have persobally liked the results from the tuner as well, seems to be a lot more torque to me. What octane are you running? I find that it works best with 93-95. Granted, when I go up to 94-95 I don't get squat for fuel mileage, but I feel it alot more.

I can only get 93 octane in Louisville Kentucky. I also felt a very big gain in torque. The main difference to me is from 3500-5500 RPM in the off the line punch. Even as an auto, the car spins all the way to redline in first. Sounds ultra cool with the top down and the bassani winding up and backing down. I guess I will do TB and Plenum, and maybe a mass air. Older cars like mine hate pullies with our lessor alternators. 99 and up do good with pullies. I have the boxster "S" with mods for all out performance and handling.....

I'd stay away from a new mass air meter. There are countless threads on it. But basically, if you stay N/A, the stock one does fine. It is already calibrated for the engine. if you get something bigger, the computer will not adjust to it.

I have the Superchips 1725 tuner as well. I came out impressed and happy. I can only get 91 octane here though, wish I could go 93.

I also have the Superchips Tuner! and I love it! I spin 1,2 and when playing around in stick mode it will light up the tires in 2nd! At the Track It Will actually Bark Second I was verry impressed. With the Performance Tune it Runs much better from about 3 Grand on! I need to change my fluid now that I am up to 78,000 miles I think it is well over due for one!

had one...liked it...but then i saw how much i was missing out on when i got the XCAL II by SCT...complete adjustability with the OBD II ecu the stangs have. i can even create my own dyno tunes b/c the tuner doubles as the fastest datalogger on the market. i am in love with my xcal II!!!!
