suspension on 90gt

hey guys what sup?? im new to the site and i gotta say that i love it. ive been lookin on for a while and i decided to make an account.

but anyway...to my point. im gettin ready to do the suspension on my 90 gt and i need some pointers. i jus bought front struts for a 4 cyl car hopin that they will work better for a strait-line launch. is this gonna work. im also goin with the for racing sport springs all the way around. have any of yall heard good or bad of these springs?? any help appreciated. im only 17 and need some help. sry bout the long thread. thanks in advance.

Ok first off for drag racing i believe its the 4 banger springs people install in there car. This gives them a better launch because of the wieght transfer. The 4 banger struts will not work. This is because the 4 bangers and the 5.0L have different spindles.(Unless you own a 86 5.0L then your spindles were what was carried over to 87 4 bangers) So the struts are different (because of the mounting on the spindle) on the 87-93 4 bangers and 5.0L.

i am guessing you have the FRPP C Springs? If so then they will not be good for drag launches. You will either want the 4 cyl springs as stated by 86bluecobra or spend the money for some drag launch springs.

thanks for the help guys. i guess i need to tell my dad about that cuz i jus bout the struts yesterday. i think we misunderstood what one of our friends was tellin us bout the struts and springs. but to answer your question i have the stock springs still but im gettin the sport springs from ford racing.....so what struts should i go with??

If you want to drag race and road race (autocross) then a set like the strange engineering would be the way to go. They are 10 way adjustables so you will be able to loosen them up for the drag racing to improve wieght transfer and tighten them to prevent body roll for the road racing.

well i guess it would help if i told yall what kind of driving i will be doin. i drive it every day and i go to the track occasionally and i will soon be tryin the local autocross track. i dont want to lower it to much to lose traction in a strit line but i wanna be able to corner also. but i appreciate all your help.
