?Suspension Question?

Just bought my pony this December and I will be making my first mods. I just received my order from Maximum Motorsports of Upper/Lower control arms, and new shocks and struts, can't wait to install them. Quick question though with the new control arms will I need the quad shocks any more???? I just graduated school and now the flood gates are open for modifications. :D I have been bitten by the mod-bug, prepare to blow lots of cash.

No.

Also, typically when you're adding both upper and lower aftermarket control you're introducing additonal bind to an already bindy suspension.

You'll be fine in a straight line, especially being to tune the pinion angle with the uppers but once you get into a hard corner thats a whole different story.

If you want to get some great handling forget the springs / struts / shocks and get coil over suspension. From there, get a panhard bar / torque arm and remove your quad shocks and upper control arms.

3 link suspension is arguably better then the 4. Although the Steeda 5 isn't bad either.

The uppers are non-adjustable, they are the FRPP control arms, stock casting with better bushings. I am not going for a road carver nor a total drag suspension. I will not being buying lowering or drag springs. My shocks and struts are also non-adjustable, Tokico HP's. I want a little better straightline grip, but also maitain some good handling. I figure I might as well change the shocks/struts if I have the whole rear end apart.
