Over the winter my car will be getting new shocks, struts, and springs.. I'm thinking about getting new control arms since they are decently cheap and it'd be worth doing while I'm under there.

Here's some stats on my car if it helps:

1994 Mustang GT Convertible (It's green:D )

Mods - 3000RPM Convertor, B&M Shiftkit, 4.10 Rear Gears, Rebuilt AODE, Custom bent H-pipe without kitties, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, Cold Air Intake, 140lph Holley Fuel Pump.

Anyway, I'm looking for something that will handle good, but I don't want to be feeling the rear end drop so much when it shifts into second and third.. I feel like I'm loosing alot of power when it shifts because I feel it squat. I'm okay with lowering it up to 2 inches but I don't want it to be a lowrider or anything gay. I'm okay with how it handles around corners currently, I wouldn't mind a little better, but I can live with it if it means better launching off the line and less "squating".

I also figure I should put subframe connectors on due to the fact that it is a convertible. Since they are under 100 bucks I also find it reasonable.. I just hate to be out there soldering in the cold garage this winter.. But I do look forward to some good summer driving when it's time to roll out.

Anyway, Thanks for the suggestions.:hail2:

Sounds like you would like an eibach pro-kit. Thats probably one of the best all around springs IMO. They offer a better stance, better handling, and a stiffer (more stiff?) ride.

I have the sportlines, and am very happy with those. It isn't as low as some made em out to be, but it is pretty dang low. IF you want pics let me know and ill post one. EDIT or @#$#, you could just click the link in my sig. duh...

squating is what you want. you want the weight to transfer to the rear. means more traction.

you want the front end to have a light shock to allow the front end to lift easier.

springs i would look into the eibachs i liked them when i had them.

struts, either adjustables or if you looking for good drag struts, i would go with lakewood 70/30s.

controls def. you pick there, there are tons out there. personally i like my Steedas.

I would do caster/camber plates while your at it. otherwise your front end won't be able to line up properly. 4 bolt not 3 IMO.

^^^wurd.

if you are more drag race based, you want a spring that doesn't lower the car much and has a relativley soft spring rate to allow weight to transfer.

If you want some more handling based, you would be happy with something like eibach sportlines or H&R supersports or steeda sport springs etc. If you are planning to just mosey around town don't really worry about the spring rate too much but if you are planning on doing track days with the car or autocross, make sure you get a stiff spring rate depenidng on how low you go. If you get a very aggressive lowering spring with a moderate spring rate, you will scrape your upper fender with your tires on hard lateral weight transfer.
