Swap motor OR everything else?

I just got a '91 hatch. Basically the same as my first mustang, but has a 347 bottom end, and STOCK upper end.

Here's the problem:

I can't decide on if I want to swap the new bottom end into my car with the rest of my mods, or if i should swap my upper engine on the new car, and then swap rear-end, suspension, AL driveshaft, shifter and leave my sub-frames off.

One would think it would be an easy decission, but my car has black interior, and worse paint, but my new one has grey, bad cond. interior and lots better paint.

I'm just at a cross road. Sorry I don't have pics of the new car, nor do I have a full spec sheet of the new car.

What would you do?

Pick whichever of the two has the better body, and transfer everything into that (motor/suspension bits, interior, whatever). Body work is gonna cost you a lot more time and money than swapping parts around ever will.

I thought about that, but both will need paint, but the newer car's paint is better now. New car was in a minor front end collision, and will need a new front clip, but my old car has a dented front quarter panel (see p.3 on cardomain) I think I will swap the bottom end in, and front quarter panel and rear bumper on my old car.

Forget that! Use the best of both in the red car.

Make one setup for road racing and the other for drag racing. That way you can have the best of both worlds. screw the looks make it fast then worry about what it looks like later. Ever see a primered mustang tear apart a viper. I have, funny thing was everyone laughed at the 68' mustang. In the end it was him laughing at everyone else. Fake people, they talk **** about fords but when you beat them the want to suck up and be your friend.

what year is the old car? like previously said I would take the one with the better body and use the best of what you have on it....but if condition is similar on both, build the newer of the two.

Both are Red LX hatches.

My old one is a 1990, and the new one is a 1991.

I'm a big fan of the sleeper. I think I'll get the body pieces that are in good condition, put them on the old car, and then sell the new one.

My original plan was to take the 347 out, and sell the car as a roller, or put a junkyard engine in, and sell it. I picked up the new car for a pretty damn good price, so I hope to end up getting the stroker for free.

Keep the ideas coming.

Use what ever chassis is in the best conditon, swap over all the parts needed to make a really nice car. Clean up the car you want to get rid of and sell it..

Rick, I'm sorry about that, my mom put my money in a college bond, and I bought the new car with cash I had stashed.
