i just swapped intakes on my 5.0 i put in a lower intake from a ford explorer a 95 cobra upper intake and ford 65 mm throttle boddy wit no name brand on it
since the swap my car is running hotter like almost overheating it idles at 1000 rpm instead of the normal 600ish also when im going from any speed and take it out of gear it stays at 1500 till i stop instead of goin down to 1000 rpm like it used 2 when stopped a few things that happened when i swapped intakes is the pintle caps on the injectors i broke 3 of em they were brittle as hell and i had to reuse the tb gasket cuz summit sent the wrong one i think i also hear it suckin air from under the upper intake any hints clues tips any1 has would be greatly appreciated im soo worried bout my baby i will be fixin the pintle caps in the next few days and but plz any info would be aprreciated thanx
the idle dont surge at all just idles at 1000 rpm
it does sound like its suckin air under the upper intake ill be takein off the upper ina day or 2 to see and to fix the injector pintle caps and prey that works
it dont really feel like it has more power or anything iether but it is louder so i dunno ill check 4 vacume leaks and put a tester on the vacume lines and fix the injectors and re re check the timing
