like the title says, i swapped to an 89 engine harness from my factory 87 harness which i converted to mass air a few years back. question i have is, what do i need to do with the fp monitor and vss wires i spliced into it? do i just remove them? thanks

those are part of the body harness.

So if you just swapped the engine harness, you still need to keep them. The factory VSS and FP wiring is part of the interior harness

i'm referring to the two wires that are spliced from the connector behind the driver's side kick panel and pinned into the ecu connector, as well as the one that is spliced from the fp relay and is pinned into the ecu connector as well. i followed the instructions on stangnet's conversion instructions. when i pulled my old harness out, i had to remove the wires from the connector, so now they are just dangling, and the pin positions they were in on my 87 harness have wires in them in the 89 harness.
