swapping 99+ seat tracks and console

How big of a pain is it to do either? My mom has an 02 V6, and every time I drive her car I really like that the seat can go back further than my 94. I also like that she has the two cupholders and the nicer boot on the E-Brake.

Is it a big PITA to swap both over? Or is it a bolt in deal?

passanger side is no problem,it uses the same seat track as our cars.

the driver side seat track is different.(i have seat and power track from an 02gt)
you cannot use a driver track from an 02 on a 94 seat bottom,or vise-versa
it will not bolt directly to our seat bottoms.
you must use the seat bottom out of the 02 stang.
wiring is easy.

my console is from a 98,but the 02 should not be too difficult to swap.

heres a side by side of the drivers seat bottom.

left=from the 94,see how its pretty much flat.

right=02 gt,the front of the frame recessed.the rear of a 94-98 track will bolt up fine,but at the front,there will be a large gap between the track and seat bottom frame.

i'll try to find some shots of the tracks.

You can get about an extra 1.5" if you do this mod. It only works on the power seat track, the manual track will hit one of the seat bolts before it travels all the way back.
