Hey guys my tranny went out on my 01 3.8 mustang, has a manual tranny. No one in 100 miles has one for a 99-04 mustang, however I found one for a 96. I know the speedometer sensors are different (electronic/mechanical) and are in different locations. I plan on using a GPS speedometer so no issue there. Other than that will it bolt up and work as it should or do tail housings need to be swapped. Thank you so much for your time guys.

This post doesn't state for certain that the replacement transmission is also from a V6.
I think it might be possible to perform a tail shaft swap to get around the VSS vs OSS sensor problem.

I have to admit not knowing as much about a V6 T5 as the V8.
Is there a reason why you are not having the transmission that you have repaired or rebuilt?
