Hi guys, i want to be able to start my mustang with the key in the "on" position with a pushbutton switch...(i have it setup right now that you have to turn the key all the way to the "run" position just like you would when normally starting the car, then hit the switch)...Which wire would i have to tap into and run to the switch to do this??..(it's sort of a pain to have to turn the key all the way then hit a switch)!..any help would be greatly appreciated!!...thanx

There are two circuits in the ignition key system. One circuit is for the ignition and ignition related items like the computer and the fuel pump. The other is for the accessories like the A/C, radio and fan. The problem with your thinking is that there are certain items that are turned off when you twist the key to the start position. Using a push button bypasses this step and puts an extra load on the battery and acessories. One example is the A/C & fan - the A/C compressor clutch is powerd off and so is the fan. The radio gets turned off too, and I am sure that there are several other items that don't get power when you twist the key to start.
