Well after deciding to go with the "GT/A" emblems on the rocker panels, I wanted to ditch the factory "GT" badge as not to double up on each side right near eachother. My first effort was the "4.6 High Performance" emblem.

Although liking it at the time, I have grown tired of it.

I have since looked at many 6s "Pony" emblems and decided to go with it! It gives it more of the retro look and flows MUCH better on the fender than the bulkier 4.6 emblem!
Not great pics as I finished it after getting home in the dark(will take pics tomorrow). I love the way it looks now!

Looks good,
Were there not any holes behind the GT emblem?
Does anybody know if there are holes behind the ford emblem on the rear decklid?

Good job Kooldawg. I did the same thing. I plan on spending some quality wax time on my ride this weekend and will take some pics to share!

Looks terrible. Either keep the GT badge or go badge less but otherwise those badges look cheap and make your car look cheap imho.

Well, he has to keep a fender badge on otherwise you will have 2 holes in the fender courtesy of Ford. Unless you want to spend money on painting the fenders and filling the holes.

I done mine the day I had the car, funny thing is about a week later when I went back to the dealer to have it detailed they tried to replace them saying they were wrong from the factory.

Thanks for all the support :SNSign: (-1)! I love the way it looks on the Vista Blue!
Here are some daylight pics of it.

P.S. Sure is funny how a factory Ford emblem looks cheap and lessens the look of my car completely now

If you really think your badges look good (and yes one is crooked, you drilled holes in a $28,000.00 sports car probably with a dewalt)and screwed it up putting in cheesy badges. I simply don't get it.

This dudes car is so nice, and it happens to be the same color of yours, you should take notes.

you mean he drilled holes in a $150 fender. i dont know why you worry about everyone elses car. if you spent so much time worrying about your own car, you would have the best S197 ever made. find something else to post about other than just flat out dogging on everyone elses rides.

Yeah really!

It is without a doubt a very nice looking car that is very clean with no emblems.
He bought the car he liked and could afford. I bought the car I liked and am modding it to MY taste. I had no second thoughts about drilling holes in my 6 month old Mustang GT and am glad I did! Those GT/A emblems are the real deal and I mounted them the way they did in '67. So what if it is 1/8" crooked? It's not a SEMA car! It's MY car I have something different than many others on here and I take pride in that. Nobody can bring me down off that high by posting negative(or in this case, just down right ignorant)comments! I plan on keeping this car for a long time, so I don't care if it was $28,000(didn't pay it, but sticker was $31,500)...I will do what I want when I can afford it to my car and hopefully enjoy it each and every time I look at it and/or get behind the wheel. Why???? Because I am a Mustang enthusiast...
I'm not suprised when you said in one of your first posts that you were booted off another forum...

You are a lucky dog. That is a sweet looking ride. I think the CS/GT is a neat little package to set you apart. Do you have any idea what the production #'s are going to be?
