Switched valve covers, now have breather

OK you have 2 options...

1- non-emmisions legal--- plug the vacuum port from the intake, breather on one side, cap the other off..

2- Emmisions legal---- Put the PCV valve in the grommet and cap off the other valve cover....

leave the stock PCV valve and hose going to the intake. run a 'fresh air' hose from the intake air tube (between MAF and T/B) to the valve cover, seal the other valve cover. that should keep the system functioning as it should.

if you keep the PCV valve and get 'fresh air' from the atmosphere you'll fail emissions(visual, if they check in your state) and most likely have drivability problems (the air going through the PCV valve won't be metered through the MAF, therefor, won't be seen by the computer).

if you use a PCV valve and do not have 'fresh air' coming into the block, it will create a vacuum in the block and cause problems.

I put a breather in place of the PCV as well as on my valve cover. I found a breather at Advanced Auto in their ricer section that was a perfect fit for the PCV location.
