Symptom of heater core failed?

Slight smell occasionally, not necessarily with heater on. Always thought it was just coming from outside.

Thing is, antifreeze is showing up in my AC condenser drain under car. No wet carpet at all, no wet floorboard. Is it possible that the heater core leak could end up draining there? Never had that part of the car apart so unsure of component placements.

Sounds like a slow leak at this point. These things don't get better and yes, it will eventually speed up some and can leak down the inner face of the firewall and destroy carpet. Go back to Ford for the replacement core.

Thanks man. Kinda figured that. Guess ill bypass it till it cools down some here (its 97 outside lately with "pressure cooker" humidity lol).

When the heater core in my 86 went bad my floor was never wet... The defroster started fogging up the windshield. Turns out it was antifreeze and not fog.
