I bought the t-5 conversion kit from calponycars.com and I was under the impression that the yolk was shortened and therefore allowed for a v8 driveshaft to work. I'm about an inch to long. So...

A) is there shorter driveshafts I.E. is an automatic shorter than a manual or visa versa

B) If I need a shortened drive shaft where can I get an aluminium one?

we put the jack stands on the housing and had it all the way up. The t-5 is just to long for a stock drive shaft but I was under the impression that the cal pony car's t-5 yolk fix this but it looks like a good excuse for me to get an aluminum shaft :D

You'll need to shorten the stocker by about 1". That's what I had to do. If you want a steel one, then you can have a drive shaft shop put in new u-joints and balance it for a lot less than an aluminum unit. I think Mustang's Plus has aluminum units already shortened if that is what you want but I'm not sure. Better call 'em.

have a local shop cut and balance it. they did mine for like 40 bucks. i installed my own new U joints. just call around shops asking about it, a lot of times you'll find a place that specializes in drivelines in the area, theres a large industry for heavy trucks and such.
