middle of t-5 swap on 1970 mach-1 351w. toploader out t-5 in. trying to fab up tranny mount, but didnt take measurement of toploader output shaft c/l to top of tranny tunnel before i took tranny out. if anyone has a measurement of where t-5 should be sitting ( c/l of output shaft to top of tunnel) i would sure appreciate the help.

I did the same thing you have done. With my engine and trans in the car supported by a jack and the motor mounts, my trans sat a little to the passenger side. I held it right in the middle before welding my mount in. I thought it should have been centered. I would like to see what others have done.

OK, you should have weight on the rear axle, and set the driveshaft to match the pinion shaft angle. Kinda backwards, but…

If you can't get the trans close enough to the floor to match, get as close as you can, then shim the axle in the usual manner to match the angles.
