i just installed a whole new drivetrain in my car out of a 93 mustang 5.0 with 19,000 miles. I just got done driving it for the 1st time and the transmission has a loud whining/howling noise in 2nd, 3rd and reverse. The noise gets louder as RPM's go up and it is always doing it, even when im off the throttle. i havent checked the tranny fluid but if thats not it what else could it be?? Thanks.

It doesn't whine in 1st??

Usually, when a tranny whines in every gear, it means the mainshaft is scored from heat due to lack of lubrication, usually from low fluid.

I would check the tranny fluid level, if its fine and still noisy, you'll need to get inside the tranny
