I have a Ron Morris Performance T-5 crossmember, but the bolts won't fit. They are too close together and won't go in the holes unless I drill it. Do I need to take this bracket off and use a different mount on the tranny or is does my 1994 use a different mount than the pre 1993s?

i'm assuming you're talking about the holes where the mount bolts to the crossmember? when i installed my T5 i remember the T5 mount being different than the 66 mount, the bolts on one were closer together than the other, but i dont remember which was which. I honestly dont see any reason not to drill it unless it will interfere with the existing holes. You could always go to a ford parts department and take a look at the mounts, see if one will fit properly. If it were me i'd just redrill the crossmember, as long as you're sure the mount you have will give you the proper driveline angle.

If they made this crossmember for a T-5 in a 65 Mustang and I payed $140 for it, it had better fit or my tranny mounts better be wrong as it's a 94 and not a pre 94.

Check and see if you have to use a 65-66 trans mount. My crossmember is the modern driveline unit, made for the swap from an auto to a t5. On their site it says the 65 auto. trans mount will bolt up to the t5 then to the crossmember. I didn't read that part of the site and tried to use the 1991 trans mount that was on my t5 when I got it. I went ahead and drilled a hole in the crossmember and I swear literally 2 minutes after my buddy came outside yelling "don't drill it!!!" Whoops, too late.
He had checked the site while I was drilling (d'oh!)

Then I looked at the mount that was on my c4, and it was in two pieces. Great. So I had to order one and it was a full week before I could drive my 5 speed. All because I didn't read. By the way, the hole made no structural difference, but I wish I didn't do it.

MrBobMarley, you are exactly right.
I set the T-5 crossmember up to my C4 and that mount did work. Now I gotta take it off the C4 and see how it fits up to the T-5.
Thank you!

I believe i used the original tranny mount, but i could never get parking brake to work. It would be nice to have a parking break

Got it all bolted up. It was kind of a pain in the ass because I had to wrestle the tranny over side to side to get it the crossmember bolts to go through the frame, but I got her.
