Here is a picture of my T-56. It is the viper version, but I would imagine that visually they are pretty similar.
The black tube that I put the box around in the picture is just a breather tube. When installing the tranny just make sure not to kink the hose, or have it pinched off.
If the connection next to the shifter is the one that I pointed the arrow at, that is the reverse solenoid. It makes it hard to put the car into reverse. I didn't hook it up to anything, so I just have to push through the solenoid to get into reverse. I suppose you could hook it to the brakes, or to a switch that would activate the solenoid and make it easy to put into reverse. I am pretty used to it now, so it doesn't bother me.
I am not too sure on your other questions. A friend of mine put in the pilot bearing, and my crossmember already had the mount on it so all I did was bolt it to the tranny.
Good luck with the swap. I am sure you will be happy with it. I think the 6 speed was about my favorite modification so far.
ok i got all my question thanks guys, i do use my crossmember. I already have the relay hooked up all i need to do is connect it to the tranny. Ill be starting later tonight
no, you dont need the cap its used to prevent debris from entering tranny during shipping and install but its supposed to be removed after install, just plug hole with some black tape and remove after install...
